People live in Stafford and work in Spotsylvania. A business may have its corporate office in downtown Fredericksburg but its employees are scattered among four counties and the city. We are a region, we’re not just one specific place. Ensuring economic vitality for the region — with a regional strategy — is imperative, because of the interconnectedness of all the individual places, it just makes sense for us to collectively collaborate — and not compete to the point where we cut off our nose to spite our face.
